Greetings and Salutations! *kicks tumbleweed*
It seems like only two months ago that we last spoke. How ya’ been? How’re the kids? Tell Sheila we say hi.
It’s been a difficult time these last months, between the loss of some important people for both me and Ben and the general ennui (yeah I said it, what?) of creative issues. It’s been tough, there’s no denying it. Do you know what one of the things that’s helped us along is? Everyday, without fail, about 45 people show up to the site. 45 unique visitors to our site, when we haven’t updated in over a month, every day. That’s great. That’s inspiring. That’s something that makes me want to say, “Damn all this sad crap, let’s make some comics for these people!”
I’ve been really examining what I enjoy about working on GF and I thought about how much I enjoyed it when it was new. So, to that end, I’ve been working on some redesigns. They’re a little more comical, a little more cartoony, but I think they better reflect both our characters and our personalities. Above is a little sample of what I’ve been putting together.
Ben is supporting me 100% on this, as he always has and I’m sure, he always will. I hope you guys will as well, but if there’s something you don’t like, be vocal. We want to know what would make you guys happy.
